Bomb Markers

Ok, I been playing this for a while, and the thing that is pissing me off the most, is the fact that you can not get close to the bombs

Level 15
I am nowhere near a bomb, and the bomb goes of, exploding

I got to the top right corner, and I cant seem to drive down the lane, there is a massive gap there, but I keep hitting bombs,

Are there hidden mines that I am not seeing, or rope attached to the bombs or something.
